To Audition
The Oratorio Chorale invites
singers in all voice parts to audition for its 2011-2012 season. Auditions
will be scheduled (by appointment only) at
Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church, 84 Main Street,
Topsham.

The
Oratorio Chorale membership is as diverse and varied as our
programs! It is the blend of our varied backgrounds and choral
experience that creates
our strength, both vocally and behind the scenes.
We rehearse
Sundays in Topsham from 6 p.m.
to 9 p.m.
with occasional sectional rehearsals mid-week. We seek members whose
enthusiasm for performing good music well translates to regular
attendance and regular review and practice between rehearsals.
Other considerations include your participation in ticket sales
and program ad sales. Financial obligations are limited to
annual
dues ($50.00) and the cost of music (variable). However, financial
duress will never bar qualified singers from joining.
We periodically
hold open rehearsals. Check the home page to see when the next open
rehearsal is planned. We’d love to have you join us!
Key
qualifications include prior choral experience, ability to match
pitches, ability to adjust singing so as to follow directions,
and
love for ensemble singing with the willingness to work toward group
sound.
Auditions for new
members are scheduled during the summer but may also be arranged by
appointment on an as-needed basis. We encourage anyone interested in
